With more stringent discharge limits being imposed and subsequent rising trade waste costs, managing wastewater in the food and beverage industry can be problematic for business owners. Australian-owned business Aerofloat’s uniquely designed Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) and Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) systems allow businesses to manage their SS, FOG, BOD and COD in a way that is both practical and affordable.
At the core of Aerofloat’s unique design is a patented DAF system which achieves superior effluent quality results. The design features of the Aerofloat DAF (with treatment capacities ranging from 0.5 to 50m3/h) include: a compact footprint, low power requirements and a mechanically simple design – all of which ultimately provide a more affordable DAF solution for the industry. Unlike traditional DAFs, the Aerofloat DAF has no mechanical scrapers, is essentially self-cleaning and uses a sealed and vented tank.
Aerofloat’s unique MBBR system again takes proven core treatment principle and has made simpler, maintenance friendly, affordable alternative. The MBBR is in a covered polyethylene tank with easily removable aeration diffusers enabling the lances to be cleaned without draining or emptying the tank.
The Aerofloat DAF coupled with the Aerofloat MBBR, create a unique product offering that can be used to combat all manner of food and beverage wastewater problems. The flexibility of the designs and effectiveness of the systems, allow various combinations of the core equipment to be tailored to individual needs.
Aerofloat will be displaying the Aerofloat 50 at at Stand P12 on Level 1 at foodpro, and will have staff ready to assist with wastewater questions.
