We were lucky enough to join them, alongside key Australian packaging industry professionals, in recognising this milestone with the 60th anniversary dinner in Melbourne at the beginning of the month.
Established in September 1963, led by foundation president Noel McLennan, the AIP has seen 28 presidents over the years. Current president, John Bigley was MC for the evening, acknowledging the growing relevance and importance of the Institute as Government legislation continues to introduce regulation for packaging design.
Working with the AIP, supports foodpro’s ambition for support a sustainable future for Australia’s food manufacturing, processing and packaging industries.
On reflection of our partnership at foodpro 2023, Nerida Kelton, AIP Executive Director said,
“As an industry association partner of foodpro 2023 the AIP had a full educational program alongside the four-day tradeshow. The program included the AIP packaging panel discussions, and training courses, which saw close to 120 people in attendance.
The AIP education team was flat out every day, not only via our education program but also with so many visitors to the stand; many of them being AIP Members who had never visited foodpro before. We look forward to being a part of foodpro 2026!”
